Chine truly brings the Asian experience to hot pot. After walking into this restaurant with little expectations I left with a smile on my face. They offer an AYCE menu for $27 per person and a variety of vegetables, meat and tofu. I was presently surprised with their sliced beef which was thinly slice and practically melted in your mouth after cooking. For you spice fans I would suggest you try the legendary hot pot which comes with 4 types of heat ranging from mild to killer suicide. The broth here has exceptional quality and flavors your meat and vegetables quite well. You also get your own individual pot which comes in a bigger size than most restaurants I've seen. My five star rating also includes the service here as well as we were frequently checked on. Great restaurant and great service.
They have multiple stoves per table so you have your own personal hotpot and it's super nice. All you can eat for $27 which is relatively cheap. The ingredients were nice and fresh. I'd definitely come back again.
I'd say this place is a 3.5. It costs a bit more for hotpot here. Originally none of their broths were free, but they just added a free option! The service here is pretty quick and the restaurant is spacious and very clean looking. The decor is quite nice for an asian hotpot place. It's pretty standard for hotpot. Its all you can eat. However, my friend seems to like the meat they have here quite a bit. I actually quite like the pickled fish broth here, my only issue is that its contains so much salt (which you don't notice/taste while eating it) that I find myself waking up in the middle of the night drinking litres of water!! A part from that, the broth is pretty tasty.
Order the killer spicy hot pot for $4.99 extra. It was just satisfyingly spicy enough to taste the broth flavor and the food itself. Meat was fresh. However seafood and meatballs was straight from the freezer. Lots of sauces and garnishes at the self serve counter. Overall it was excellent. Great selection of food to choose from. Flavor wise the best hotpot in Calgary and will likely return for more.
Hands down the best restaurant experience I've had in a while. The service is amazing and food is quick and fresh. 11/10!
